How to Set Up Shadowrocket on iPhone

A step-by-step guide to importing your NodeNow subscription URL and connecting to VPN in the most powerful and fine-grained way in the iOS environment.

Step 1 — Download the App from the App Store

Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad, or tap the link below to make a purchase and download.

Step 2 — Copy Your NodeNow Subscription URL

You need to copy the subscription link from NodeNow via a mobile browser such as Safari.

1. Log in to twinnode.net in your browser.
2. Go to the My Subscriptions (or Dashboard) menu.
3. Tap the "Copy Subscription (Universal)" button to copy your dedicated URL to the clipboard.

Important

The subscription link must be a long link starting with https://..., not a single NodeNow link.

Step 3 — Add the Subscription URL in Shadowrocket

1. Launch the Shadowrocket app.
2. Tap the + (plus icon) in the upper right.
3. Touch the Type at the top and change it to Subscribe.
4. Long-press the URL field and paste the NodeNow subscription URL you just copied. (Writing "NodeNow" in Remarks/Notes is convenient.)
5. Tap Done/Save in the upper right. The app will automatically download the server list.

One-Click Import

Tap the Import to Shadowrocket button on the homepage dashboard to skip step 3 and go directly to adding it in the app.

Step 4 — Select a Server and Connect

1. Touch and select a server from your desired country in the loaded list.
2. Toggle the Not Connected switch at the very top to attempt a connection.
3. When iOS shows the "Add VPN configurations?" confirmation, tap Allow and authenticate with Touch ID/Face ID or your passcode.
4. When the VPN icon appears in the status bar, the connection is successful.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Do I have to purchase this app? Shadowrocket is a paid app ($2.99). If you want a free alternative, Hiddify is recommended.

Q. An "update error" message appears. Check that there are no extra spaces in the URL. If the error persists, switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, then tap the update icon again.

Q. I turned on the switch but the VPN icon doesn't appear. You need to tap Allow in the system prompt and provide authentication for the VPN to be fully activated.

Q. Why do some servers time out in the Ping test? The node list may have expired. Pull to refresh on the main screen to get the latest server information, then try connecting again.
