How to Set Up Clash Verge on Windows
A step-by-step guide to importing your NodeNow subscription URL into Clash Verge and connecting to VPN on your Windows PC.

The official NodeNow app is the recommended way to connect on Windows. No complex configuration needed — just follow the simple flow:
Download → Install → Log In → Select Node → Connect

If you'd like to use Clash Verge with your subscription URL instead, continue with the steps below.
Step 1 — Download Clash Verge
Choose one of the links below to download the Windows 64-bit installer.
System Requirements
Windows 7 is not supported. Windows 10 or 11 is required. If your browser shows a warning during download, click "More" → "Keep".
Step 2 — Run the Installer
- Double-click the downloaded
Clash.Verge_2.4.7_x64-setup.exefile to begin installation. - When the installation wizard starts, click Next → Install.
- When installation is complete, click Finish.
Security Software Warning
If security software such as 360 displays a "System change" warning, click Allow all.
Webview2 Error
If the app closes immediately after installation or the screen doesn't appear, Webview2 may be missing. Install Microsoft Webview2 and try again.
Step 3 — Launch, Import Subscription, and Connect
① Launch Clash Verge
After installation, find and launch Clash Verge from the desktop or Start menu. If a Windows firewall allow popup appears, click Allow access.
② Copy Your NodeNow Subscription URL
- Visit twinnode.net and log in.
- Go to the My Subscriptions menu.
- Click the Copy Subscription (Universal) button to copy the subscription URL to your clipboard.
Security Notice
The subscription URL contains personal identifying information. Do not share it with others.
③ Import the Subscription
- Click the Profiles tab in the left sidebar.
- Paste the copied subscription URL into the input field at the top of the screen.
- Click the Import button.
- Click the newly added subscription item in the list below to activate it. A green checkmark will appear on the left when activated.
Auto Update
Right-click on the subscription item → activate Auto Update Settings to keep the server list automatically up to date. An interval of 12–24 hours is recommended.
④ Enable System Proxy and Verify Connection
- Go to the Dashboard tab in the left sidebar.
- Toggle System Proxy to ON.
- Verify the connection by trying to access a site that was previously inaccessible in your browser.
Step 4 — Select a Proxy
- Click the Proxies tab in the left sidebar.
- Select the proxy mode at the top:
- Global — Routes all traffic through VPN
- Rule — Only bypasses blocked sites via VPN (recommended)
- Click the desired node in the server list to select it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q. A Windows SmartScreen "protection" window appears and I can't install. Click "More info" in the window, then click the "Run anyway" button to continue installation.
Q. I turned on the "System Proxy" switch but my browser IP hasn't changed. A separate proxy/VPN extension installed in your browser is likely causing a conflict. Turn off the extension, or activate TUN Mode in Clash's internal settings.
Q. How do I set up TUN Mode? Go to the Settings tab, install Service Mode at the top, then turn on the Tun Mode switch below it.
Q. What is the difference between Rule, Global, and Direct?
- Rule: Only routes blocked foreign sites through VPN; domestic sites are accessed at normal speed (recommended)
- Global: Sends all PC traffic through the VPN server without exception
- Direct: Accesses the internet without using VPN
Q. How do I update the server (node) list to the latest version? In the Profiles tab, click the refresh (Update) icon on the right side of the existing subscription card to update in just 1 second.
