How to Use Clash Verge Client on Mac

A guide to installing Clash Verge — providing the most powerful routing rules and compatibility — on your Mac and using NodeNow.

Notice

Always use the latest version client through this webpage. Older versions may have security vulnerabilities. (Current version: Clash Verge v2.4.7)

Step 1 — Download & Install the Latest Clash Verge

Download the .dmg file that matches your Mac's CPU chipset (M chip or Intel).

Mac M Chip Download (Apple Silicon)

Mac Intel Download

Installation Steps:

  1. Double-click the downloaded .dmg file to open it.
  2. Drag and drop the Clash Verge icon to the Applications folder.
  3. Launch the app from Launchpad.

Unverified Developer Warning

If an "App from unidentified developer" warning appears, go to System Settings > Privacy & Security and click "Open Anyway" at the bottom.

  1. Visit the homepage (twinnode.net) My Subscriptions (Dashboard).
  2. Click the "Copy Subscription (Universal)" button or the bulk subscription link copy button.
  3. Click the Subscriptions menu in the left sidebar of the Clash Verge app.
  4. Paste the link you just copied into the address input field at the top of the screen.
  5. Click the Import button on the right.
  6. Click the newly added profile card to activate it (it will be highlighted in blue).

Step 3 — Select a Country Server

  1. Click the Proxies menu in the left sidebar.
  2. Inside the proxy groups (GLOBAL, PROXY, etc.), click to select a high-speed server from your desired country.

Routing Mode Recommendation

It is recommended to keep the routing mode at the top right as the default "Rule" mode. Domestic sites will connect directly, and only blocked overseas sites will go through VPN. If you want full bypass, select "Global" mode.

Step 4 — System Connection (Turn on VPN)

  1. Click the Home tab in the left sidebar.
  2. Toggle the System Proxy switch to On.
  3. When the switch turns blue, all traffic has successfully started being routed through bypass!

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. An "unidentified developer" error window appears and I can't run the app. Go to System Settings > [Privacy & Security], scroll down and click the "Open Anyway" button to run it normally.

Q. After launching the app, Helper requests permissions. Clash Verge requires a one-time Mac administrator password input helper (Helper) permission in order to control Mac network routing (TUN mode and proxy). You must approve it with your password or Touch ID for VPN to work.

Q. I have Apple Silicon (M chip) but installed the Intel app and it crashes. Click the Apple logo at the top left of Mac > [About This Mac]. If the "Chip" field shows Apple M1/M2/M3 etc., you need to download the aarch64 or arm64 version of the dmg.

Q. The system proxy keeps disconnecting or doesn't work. Other VPN software (e.g., Little Snitch) may be hijacking the proxy port. Turn off other security programs, or install "Service Mode" in the Settings tab and activate TUN Mode.
